Over time the handles on your doors will wear out and require replacement. It is essential to be able to match the dimensions of the handles you have previously replaced when replacing window handles them.

The handle can be adjusted and angled to suit all users. The handle has been endurance tested to 200,000 cycles, which allows for the assurance of the quality of the finish and the performance of the handle over time. The sprung lever can be shortened to fit more locks. This is especially useful in doors with smaller door frames in which the cylinder is further back. Lever Pad

The lever pad upvc handle is different from the lever handles that are commonly found on doors. These handles are operated by a single spindle or by two spindles inline or offset. They are typically employed on UPVC doors with double glazing. They come in a variety of finishes and variations.

Cylinder locks are usually used on uPVC doors, but can be utilized on other types of door. The cylinder lock is operated by using a key that unlocks the cylinder case. Euro cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins, with both internal and external doors typically having different levels of security.

The selection of a cylinder is essential. It is based on the type of use your doors and handles will receive. For instance, doors that are external require a higher security cylinder, whilst internal doors can be secured with an ordinary cylinder. In addition, some cylinders are available with extra features which can enhance security even more, like anti-drill and anti-bump characteristics.

A euro cylinder should be properly measured to ensure it's the correct size for your door. The cylinder should be measured from the hole for fixing screws in the middle to the other end of the cylinder and the thumb turn if you have one. If you are unable measure it using the lock in its position, you can take it out of it. A cylinder that is protruding beyond the handle and escutcheon might be susceptible to attacks like snapping locks, so it is essential that it is not too long.

Most newer cylinders have been made with anti-drill and bump resistance features built into their design. They are designed to decrease the chance of a attack by forcing the cylinder rotate in an opposite direction. This can help deflect the attack and keep your doors safe.

There are also cylinders that have been designed to resist snapping. This is an increasingly common method of attack on cylinders, where the break line in the lock is targeted using a special tool to snap off the front of the cylinder and allow the door to be opened. This is faster and more straightforward than gaining access through multipoint locks and leaves no evidence of a break-in, which can impede the insurance claim.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette is located inside the base plate of your door handle. It is a spring-loaded solution to return your multipoint lock handles back to their resting position after use. In the past, a lot of handles did not have a spring integrated into them, and without it they tend to droop or drop when the locking mechanism is removed. This simple feature is one of the best ways to correct this and it is also an excellent way to stop your doors made of upvc from becoming stuck in an open or closed position, as these aren't always easy to close manually.

These spring cassettes have been specifically designed for use with multipoint locks sprung, they will not fit unsprung multipoint handles and you must have a custom hole cut into the backplate to allow them to fit (please check the image for a technical diagram).
