Utility items are not compatible with each other, in contrast to Armor or Weapons. Most utility items have an effect that the player can activate by using them but some also have additional capabilities that are activated when the user presses an action button or activates an ability.

The Flashlight is the most popular accessory. It lights up the area around it. Other items that are useful include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player to float in mid-air while moving, and the Jetpack which allows the player to accelerate in all directions when on the ground.
