To ensure that the euro cylinder is the right size for your door, it must be measured correctly. The cylinder must be measured from the screw hole at the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn if there is one. If you cannot measure using the lock in its position, you can take it out of it. A cylinder that protrudes beyond the handle and escutcheon may be vulnerable to attacks such as lock snapping, so it is essential to make sure it's not too long.

Most modern cylinders are designed with bump and anti-drill features that are built into their design. These are designed to reduce the chances of an attack by forcing the cylinder to rotate in the opposite direction. This will help to stop the attack and keep your doors safe.

Certain cylinders are made to resist snapping. This is a common attack on cylinders. A special tool is used to break the break line of the lock and then the front of cylinder is snapped off. Spring Cassette
