iRobot Series Robot Vacuum Cleaners

iRobot, a robotics firm which has been a leader for a long time in the field but is now focusing its efforts on smart home automation. Their robot vacuum cleaners feature pinpoint navigation and dirt detection.

The story in the frame story concerns a woman named Gloria and her robot nursemaid, Robbie. She is devastated when her parents take Robbie back to the factory.

Roomba is an autonomous robotic vacuum cleaner. It is designed to clean carpets and unfinished floors. It can navigate around obstacles and furniture to completely sweep the floor. It also returns automatically to its dock to recharge, and can be controlled via a smartphone app or by an remote control.

The majority of Roomba models are equipped with infrared sensors that can detect obstacles. They also have the ability to change direction when they come across an obstruction.
