Mission planning is a feature available in short-term missions that allow players to gain access to different starting points, smuggled items and gear slots ahead of their entry into the map. These options for planning expand as players complete challenges and obtain higher Mission Mastery levels. This allows players the ability to create the perfect mission for every task.

Gear Slot

The gear slots with free bonus rounds will rapidly fill up in the early stages of the game, resulting in the dreaded message "Your Gear demo slots are Full". This message stops Max to pick new equipment until the old ones are taken away or space has been obtained. Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials are the solution to this problem. They provide more inventory space to complete challenges. However, as many of these challenges are scattered around the world and could be missed it could take some time to get the largest amount of inventory slots in the game.

Each player can have up to five different types of gear in their five Gear Slots. These are to be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to a Break-In. As you progress in Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups across the map. These locations allow you to keep items that do not fit into your slot for gear or weapon and then retrieve it later.

These pickups are useful when your task requires you to pass through a frisk, or if you have a weapon on you that might otherwise raise suspicion. You are only able to hide one item in a pickup location.

This DLC also adds new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. To start these missions, just talk to the receptionist at the agency and stock up on armor and snacks. Once you've reached the marker you can identify a crowd when you arrive.
