Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions are a great opportunity to earn equipment weapons, equipment and much more. But they're also difficult to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot lets the player to bring pistols into a mission. Some players use this to aid in achieving certain goals and targets, particularly those who want to go for Suit Only. Others prefer to have the additional pistol to make an additional gap. When using this slot, you need to remember that you will need to click on the corresponding pistol category button, like the alternate slot 2 for machine guns, in order to select them. Having Major Expedition and Adept Rider active makes this much easier to do. This combo adds a damage tick every 10 seconds from Concealed Weapon for as long as it is slotted.

Smuggled Item Slot

The smuggled item slot is an excellent feature that lets players bring tools and weapons into the game, but it can be improved. It's currently shaped as a pistol, which makes it difficult to differentiate the weapon slot that is smuggled from other gear slots.

The smuggle slot can house many different items, ranging from small concussion devices to explosives that are weapon-grade. These items can be found in a variety of hidden places around the map. They can be picked up at any time. The items that are smuggled are different from Agency Pickups and Hidden Stashes, which conceal only small objects in the scenery, and objects directly.

Mission planning is an option in episodic missions. It allows players to discover different starting points, smuggled objects, and gear slots prior to entering the map. As players progress through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these options for planning increase. This allows players to design the perfect mission for every task.

Gear Slot

The high roller slots for gear will quickly get full early in the game, resulting in the frequently-repeated message "Your Gear Slots are Full". This message stops Max to select new equipment until the old ones are taken away or space is obtained. The solution is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which give players more inventory space in exchange for fulfilling challenging missions. However, as the majority of these challenges are scattered around the world and can be missed it could take a long time to acquire the most inventory slots in the game.

Each player has up to five different types of gear in their five Gear Slots. These must be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to breaking in. Each gear item (except for the Pistol) is a part of one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as a grouping of Grenades) can only use one Gear Slot.

Pickups by agencies

As you progress through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock different agency pickups on the map. These locations let you keep items that don't fit in your weapon or gear slot and retrieve them later.

These pickups are especially useful if you have to pass through a frisk at the end of the course of your mission, or if you are carrying a weapon that could otherwise be suspect. However, you can only hide one item per game at an agency pickup location.

This DLC includes new contracts for security and asset protection to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and other items. Once you've reached the mission marker you can identify a crowd at the time you arrive.
